"My hip hurts when I move my chin . . .

my belly buttons caving in..." written by Shel Silverstein. My life feels a little bit like this poem, waiting for Saturday to arrive. I long to live in Portland for the simplicity of the lifestyle. I struggle to see who we'd strike a balance between being home and finding enough work to provide for our family. I struggle to see the balance here just as well.

Perhaps I need to define balance. Balance to me is not just a simple hours at work to hours at home. It's a complex more emotional balance that I long for which involves finances and actual work hours.

I long to feel empowered by understanding what our collective family goals are and how we best achieve those.

Also, I want to take more photos and be able to pursue this passion directly not with the same frustration that I approach sweeping dog hair.
