Are seventy people more productive when an hour and a half are shared on a call? I would suggest not.
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is say no.
Learning to say no is horribly difficult. It means accepting that you will not participate in an activity and have a shared common experience. All frightening to accept.
The trick is to look not at what you are missing by saying no, rather what will you gain? Clarity, a moment alone with yourself, your creativity or your family. Each "no" you deliver has a silent "yes" attached to it.
Try saying yes more to yourself.
