Four, the number of days since I last wrote

Everyone has their own personal form of meditation. Mine is writing. I am my best version of myself when I pause for ten minutes or so and write. It hardly notable to the rest of world, but guarantee my family can tell you with complete accuracy if I have or have not taken time to write.

This weekend marks our first without kids, spending adult time with one of our closest couple friends. It was wonderful and at the same time confusing. We needed to decide what we would do with all our our moments together when the distractions of diapers, naps, tantrums, mandatory park sessions and story time are gone. My husband has a catering party for for the majority of Saturday he was off making wood fired pizzas, while the three of us romped around Santa Cruz with about as much direction as a butterfly.

We window shopped, eat Mexican food for lunch and then retreated to the couch with cable controller in hand. The three of us are now passionate "Dog the Bounty Hunter' fans, we're proud also of the fact that by definition none of us are hoarders. All in all it was a productive weekend. We also realized that Uno with three people is a much more difficult challenge then when you play with four people.

Our goodbyes we're exciting, see our dear friends live in Portland. So much of the weekend was spent talking about this little port town that once was our home and once more may be home.
